The Man Law commercials are strangely funny and, despite their popularity, have not helped their sponsor sell their product. I follow politics for the sport of it and I take it about as seriously as I take sports (very interested during the game for the sport aspect of it but, at the end of the day, I turn off the TV and go about my daily life because I have realized that it doesn’t affect my life all that much) and reading stories like this makes me realize that the political process deserves little more respect than that.

What could be more boring and more irrelevant than who wins an Academy Award or the Oscar ceremony itself than, maybe, the State of the Union address?

I finally got around to watching last week’s episode of 60 Minutes with two very interesting reports. The Congressional Democrats were busy today patting themselves on the back for completing whatever it was that they did during their first 100 hours while everyone else focused on the 2008 presidential election.

This is the second time I have written about Obama and I can understand the hype. We have to wait now for his presidential announcement (he promises to make a decision “soon”) and, hopefully he will run, so the games can begin. It will ease my depression over the end of the NFL season, especially if it ends badly for the Bears, to have another sport to watch before March Madness gets going and, then, until the NBA playoffs.
