It was a year ago that I started this blog and, then, lost interest after about three months. I lost interest for several reasons: (1) I read The Black Swan by Nicolas Nassim Taleb, which with its predecessor, Fooled by Randomness, got into my head and convinced me that most of the daily news (which is mostly what I was commenting on at the time) is just noise and totally irrelevant to my life, (2) I did not listen to the expert advice on blogging that suggests limiting your blog topic to one, concise topic which I didn’t do and which I plan to start doing and (3) the Bears lost the SuperBowl after a crazy season which just knocked the wind out of me. Oh, and I changed jobs and moved out of state.

Happy New Year!
